Karnah : In the much-anticipated Beoparmandal President Election in Karnah, Haji Tasleem Mir secured a landslide victory with 804 votes out of 1,107 total votes cast. His opponent, Ghulam Yahya, garnered 296 votes, while 7 votes were rejected. This marks Haji Tasleem’s second term as President, a testament to his dedication as a social worker and his influential contributions to society and the Beoparmandal community.
The election process began at 8:30 AM and concluded smoothly at 3:30 PM under the supervision of administrative officials, including Naib Tehsildar Tangdar and Assistant Agricultural Officer Dr. Zahoor Ahmad. Police personnel ensured security throughout the process. Counting commenced at 4:00 PM, and the results highlighted overwhelming support from shopkeepers and locals.
Following the announcement of the results, jubilant supporters celebrated with rallies from Dak Bungalow Tangdar to Haji Tasleem Mir’s residence. Malas and sweets were distributed, and a community feast featuring biryani was organized.
MLA Karnah, Javaid Mirchal, also extended his heartfelt congratulations to Haji Tasleem Mir, acknowledging his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the business community and society at large. Speaking to the media, Haji Tasleem Mir expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him by shopkeepers and the community. Prominent figures from Karnah, civil society members, media personnel, and administrative officials joined in congratulating the newly re-elected President.
This win further solidifies Haji Tasleem’s position as a trusted leader dedicated to the welfare of the business community in Karnah.
