Qazigund: A young man from Watapora Payan, a village in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir, has begun a remarkable journey to Delhi on his bicycle, barefoot, with the aim of meeting his political idol, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, a passionate supporter of Rahul Gandhi, shared his deep admiration for the leader and his long-standing dream of meeting him in person. “I have been a big fan of Rahul Gandhi since my childhood. For the last couple of years, I have been planning to meet him, but due to unavoidable circumstances, I couldn’t begin my journey. Today, with the grace of Almighty Allah, I have finally started. I am filled with excitement to meet Rahul Gandhi ji. It has always been my dream,” Manzoor said.
Alongside his admiration for the Congress leader, Manzoor also expressed his pride in being an Indian citizen and his concerns for the youth in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the issue of unemployment. “As a proud citizen of this great country, I want to voice the concerns of the unemployed youth to my favorite leader, Rahul Gandhi ji,” he added.
Manzoor’s unique journey, undertaken without shoes and with unwavering determination, has garnered attention in his village and beyond. He hopes that meeting Rahul Gandhi will provide him with a platform to raise important issues affecting the youth in the region and highlight the challenges faced by young people in Jammu and Kashmir.
As Manzoor continues his journey, his story has inspired many in his community, who are eager to see what this extraordinary act of dedication will bring.
