Army Chief attends 2nd land forces summit

New Delhi: General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of the Army Staff, participated virtually in the 2nd LAND FORCES SUMMIT held in Japan today. The prestigious Summit brought together Army Chiefs and Senior Generals from several nations, including Japan, the United States, Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and the Republic of Korea.

During his address, General Dwivedi provided valuable insights into India’s security and strategic perspective in the Indian Ocean Region, emphasising the importance of enhancing multinational defence cooperation. His talk underscored India’s commitment to regional stability and the pursuit of a Free, Open and Inclusive Indo-Pacific.

The Summit provided an exceptional platform for exchanging ideas and perspectives on fostering greater multinational defense cooperation, aimed at ensuring peaceful coexistence in the Indo-Pacific region. It was a significant opportunity for the participating nations to discuss and collaborate on shared security challenges and opportunities.

The 2nd LAND FORCES SUMMIT was a testament to the growing commitment among regional and global powers to strengthen defence ties and promote a peaceful, stable and secure Indo-Pacific.
