Tangdhar: The 4th National Lok Adalat for the year 2024, as per the calendar issued by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), was successfully conducted today by the Tehsil Legal Services Committee (TLSC) Tangdhar Karnah.
The event was held under the supervision of Mrs. Shazia Tabasum, Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kupwara, and Mr. Moneer Ahmad, Secretary Kupwara. A single bench was constituted at the Munsiff Court Tangdhar, presided over by Mr. Mansoor Ahmad Mir (Munsiff/Chairman TLSC Tangdhar Karnah), with Qazi Mehboob Allahi, President of the Bar Association Tangdhar, as a bench member.
During the Lok Adalat, 234 cases were taken up, out of which 179 cases were amicably settled. A total settlement amount of Rs. 16,650 was awarded.
The event highlights the commitment of the legal services authorities to provide speedy and cost-effective justice to the public, ensuring dispute resolution through compromise and mutual agreement.
