Mumbai: The Rupee on Tuesday slipped 2 paise to close at 84.90 against the USD on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
No major oscillation was seen during the day, as the local unit drifted lower by 4 paise at 84.92, a record low today. It remained under pressure and finished at 84.90, sliding 2 paise as compared to its last close.
The Rupee recorded intra-highs and lows at 84.88 and 84.93 respectively, the dealer added.
