Srinagar: A fire broke out late Thursday evening in the Rajbagh area of Srinagar, near the Government Silk Weaving factory, officials said.
Officials told the news agency JKNS the blaze, which started in a wooden structure close to the factory, quickly spread, involving a nearby Chinar tree. Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) teams were promptly dispatched to the scene to tackle the flames.
He said the fire had erupted in the late afternoon, with police and F&ES teams actively working to control the situation. As of now, efforts to extinguish the fire are ongoing, and further updates are expected.—(JKNS)
