Srinagar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kashmir unit today celebrated the 100th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at its head office, J-53 Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar. The event was observed as Good Governance Day, reflecting Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s enduring legacy and commitment to transparent and accountable governance.
The commemoration began with party members paying floral tributes to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, followed by a series of speeches highlighting his contributions to India’s development. Leaders emphasized his visionary initiatives, including the Golden Quadrilateral project, advancements in information technology, and efforts to strengthen India’s global standing.
In his address BJP leaders stated “Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a statesman whose leadership continues to inspire the nation. His dedication to good governance and development has set a benchmark for all of us.”
The event also featured discussions on the significance of Good Governance Day, underscoring the party’s commitment to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and citizen-centric administration.
