Karnah Kupwara: Haji Tasleem Mir, Private Secretary to MLA Karnah, Javaid Mirchal, has expressed concern over individuals engaging in unnecessary politics instead of constructive criticism. He emphasized that some so-called leaders resort to jealousy and spite to mislead the public, but the people are well aware of their intentions.

On the reservation policy, Haji Tasleem Mir reiterated the MLA’s strong commitment to protecting the rights of the people in the region. Addressing public concerns about reservation policies, particularly for the ST1 and ST2 categories, he assured that any attempt to undermine these rights would be met with strong opposition.

Speaking on behalf of MLA Karnah, Haji Tasleem Mir stated, “Reservation policies are determined by Parliament, not the Assembly. However, if these rights appear to be at risk anywhere, MLA Karnah will be the first to act to safeguard them.” He also recalled the historical struggle of the Pahari community when reservation rights were granted to the Gujjar community, highlighting the years of effort that finally bore fruit.

Acknowledging potential challenges, he urged the people not to fear opposition. He stressed the historical importance and necessity of reservation for socio-economic development and assured the public that all necessary legal and administrative steps would be taken to protect their rights.

Recently, while addressing public concerns about potential changes in the reservation framework, Haji Tasleem Mir expressed solidarity with the people of Karnah. He emphasized, “MLA Karnah always prioritizes the welfare of the people. Any decision that jeopardizes their rights will not be tolerated. Together, we will ensure justice and equality.”

This statement has been widely appreciated in Karnah, with many recognizing it as a strong reaffirmation of the MLA’s commitment to the region’s development and equality. Haji Tasleem Mir’s proactive communication demonstrates MLA Karnah’s readiness to challenge measures that could undermine reservation policies, which serve as a foundation of support for vulnerable groups in the region.

Haji Tasleem Mir also highlighted the MLA’s focus on addressing public grievances since the formation of the government. He assured that significant improvements are underway, particularly in healthcare facilities, education, road construction, and employment generation.

Finally, Haji Tasleem Mir appealed to so-called leaders to stop misleading the public and instead work with a positive mindset toward the region’s development.
