Baghdad:  Iraq and Syria have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the fight against the Islamic State (IS) group, Iraq’s foreign ministry said in a statement on Monday.
In a phone call, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and his Syrian interim counterpart Asaad al-Shaibani emphasized the shared security of their nations and pledged cooperation to counter IS threats near the common border, the statement said.
