Kiev loses up to 450 soldiers in battles with Russian forces

Moscow: Russia’s Tsentr (Center) group of forces repelled 12 Ukrainian counterattacks, with Kiev losing up to 505 soldiers over the past day, the Russian Defence Ministry said on Tuesday.

The Zapad (West) group defeated the manpower and equipment from six Ukrainian brigades and repelled one counterattack, leading to over 440 Ukrainian soldier casualties.

The Yug (South) group gained more advantageous positions, with the Ukrainian armed forces losing more than 290 soldiers and two infantry fighting vehicles.

The Vostok (East) group defeated Ukrainian formations in several areas in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) and repelled two counterattacks, with Kiev losing more than 160 soldiers.

Additionally, on Tuesday morning, the Russian forces struck a Ukrainian military airfield and a facility producing propellant charges, hitting all targeted sites.
