Black Bear Captured Alive in Kulgam’s DH Pora, Safely Released into Natural Habitat

Kulgam: A black bear was successfully captured alive in Gujjarpora, DH Pora, in Kulgam district by the Wildlife Department team, officials said.

An official told the news agency JKNS that the bear, which had strayed into a residential area, caused concern among the locals.

He said that, responding swiftly, the Wildlife team arrived at the scene and conducted a careful operation to capture the bear without causing any harm.

The official added that after ensuring the bear’s safety, it was transported and released into its natural habitat, far from human settlements. —(JKNS)
