Washington: U.S. President-elect Donald Trump reacted to news coming earlier Wednesday that a deal to free hostages held by Hamas was reached between Israel and Hamas, saying the hostages “will be released shortly.”
“WE HAVE A DEAL FOR THE HOSTAGES IN THE MIDDLE EAST. THEY WILL BE RELEASED SHORTLY. THANK YOU!” Trump wrote in uppercase letters in a post on social media site Truth Social.
The administration of incumbent U.S. President Joe Biden is yet to make a formal public announcement regarding the latest development by the time this story is released.
