9 killed as minivan rams into stationary bus in Maha

Pune: Nine people, including four women, were killed on the spot when the minivan in which they were travelling rammed into a stationary Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation bus near Narayangaon on Nashik-Pune Highway near here on Friday.

An official of Pune Rural Police control room said that the accident occurred near Narayangaon when the speeding tempo coming from Nashik hit the minivan from behind and it rammed into a bus which was parked on the road side due to break failure.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. Narayangaon Police are investigating.
