Bandipora A dispute over a 7-Kanal and 13-Marla land patch in Binlipora, Tehsil Aloosa, has prompted immediate action from the authorities to maintain public peace.
According to reports from the Police Department and Tehsildar Aloosa, the land in Survey No. 902 is at the center of a conflict between two parties, with the potential to disrupt peace in the region.
“To prevent further escalation, the Magistrate has issued an order under Section 164 of BNSS 2023, placing the land under the custody of Tehsildar Aloosa until further notice. The order prohibits any person from entering, possessing, or using the disputed land,” the details available with the news agency JKNS read.
It reads that the Station House Officer (SHO) of Bandipora Police Station has been directed to enforce the order strictly and prevent any violation. Furthermore, all parties involved in the dispute are required to appear before the Magistrate on January 20, 2025, for further proceedings. The order will remain in effect until the dispute is resolved, and any violation will result in legal consequences under applicable laws.—(JKNS)
