JAMMU: Director Agriculture Jammu, S. Arvinder Singh Reen, today chaired a meeting to review progress achieved in the implementation of Agricultural sector schemes including Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS), CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) and those funded by NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development). The meeting was held in the Conference Hall, Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo.
The meeting discussed the utilization of funds as well as the submission of training calendars and schedules under HADP and CSS. The Updates on training schedule and fund utilization of the National Bee Board Mission (NBBM), the status of course completion on Daksh Kisan Portal, and farmer and farm registration at the KKG portal were also reviewed.
Additionally, the meeting focused on the status of fund utilization under SMAF and SH&F, as well as updates on tendering and allotment of RIDF projects.
During the meeting, Director Agriculture A.S Reen directed all the officers to expedite the judicious and timely utilization of allocated funds. Director Agriculture discussed the status of work assigned to other departments under public sector and Integrated Farming System (IFS). Director emphasized the importance of coordination between the Agriculture Department and allied departments to ensure efficient and timely execution of developmental works under the HADP scheme.
The Director also reviewed the progress of the establishment of Low-Cost Polyhouse structures under the HADP Project No. 01 for Seed and Seed Multiplication Chain. He directed the concerned officials to complete the assigned targets within the stipulated time frame. Additionally, the procurement of Rajmash under the Niche Crop program in Doda, Kishtwar, Rajouri, and Poonch districts was discussed. The status of nursery establishment for niche crops was also reviewed. Director Agriculture also directed to furnish the detail of Application IDs on Kisan Sathi Portal, which are non-responsive in establishing the units after 90 days of issuance of sanctioned.
It was reported during the meeting that most of the allocated funds had been successfully utilized, and the remaining targets are expected to be met within the set timelines. The meeting concluded with a strong call for all officers to maintain a high level of efficiency and ensure that the benefits of these schemes reach the intended beneficiaries promptly and effectively.
