Rajouri: After deaths due to unexplained illness in Badhal Rajouri, Families in the village are being shifted to Government Nursing College, Rajouri.
In light of the shifting of families from Badhal, Additional District Development Commissioner, Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, has issued an order assigning specific duties to various departments and officers for necessary arrangements at the Government Nursing College, Rajouri.
As per an order issued by the Additional District Development Commissioner a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, has been tasked with ensuring security arrangements and deploying personnel to monitor and restrict unauthorized movements.
The Principal of GMC & AH, Rajouri, is to station a team of doctors 24×7 at the Nursing College.
The Chief Education Officer, Rajouri, will arrange 100 single-bedded mattresses and 100 beds.
While the Deputy District Election Officer, Rajouri, has been directed to install CCTV cameras in the kitchen area.
The Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Rajouri, is responsible for providing hygiene essentials such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, and hair oil and the Chief Medical Officer has been instructed to deploy a medical team, an ambulance, and necessary medicines at the premises, it reads.
For infrastructural support, XEN JPDCI and XEN Jal Shakti, Rajouri, have been tasked with ensuring uninterrupted electricity and adequate water supply, respectively.
Additionally, accounts and food arrangements, including mattresses, blankets, and cooked meals, will be managed under the supervision of the Chief Planning Officer, Rajouri, with support from the Accounts Officer and Assistant Director, FCS & CA Rajouri.
The Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Rajouri, will oversee cleanliness, install mobile toilets, and provide dustbins, while the Assistant Commissioner, Food Safety, Rajouri, has been directed to ensure the testing of food and water before serving, order reads.
Key personnel, including the Principal of Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Rajouri, will remain stationed at the Nursing College to manage inventory and ensure proper distribution of items.
The order further states that the Tehsil Supply Officer, FCS & CA, Rajouri, will supervise cooking and meal distribution to the families.
These measures have been put in place to ensure a smooth and efficient relocation process for the families as 17 deaths have been reported in around 50 days, while four more cases of illness were reported from the last 24 Hours. (JKNS)
