Republic Day: District Admin Srinagar Orders Mandatory Attendance of Govt Employees at Bakshi Stadium

Srinagar: The district admin Srinagar directed all district officers to attend Republic Day 2025 celebrations at Bakshi Stadium, terming absence as dereliction of duty.

As per an order iaaued by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS reads, Consequent upon the directions issued by the Govt from time to time regarding the participation in the Republic Day, it is enjoined upon all HoDs/ District/ Sectoral Officers falling within the territorial jurisdiction of District Srinagar to attend the main function of Republic Day, 2025 alongwith their subordinate Officers/ Officials scheduled to be held at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar on 26th January, 2025, as a part of their official duty.

Further, all departments shall nominate one Senior Officer to mark the attendance of their staff and submit their attendance report to the Nodal Officer designated by this Office for onward submission, it reads.

All the departments shall also appoint one identifier who shall remain present at the main entrance for identification of officers/ officials of their respective departments at the main Republic Day function at Bakshi Stadium on 26th January, 2025, order reads.

Mr.Yamin-ul-Nabi, Designated Officer, Food Safety (Assistant Commissioner), Srinagar is hereby designated as District Level Nodal Officer (Attendance) who shall consolidate the attendance of all the Departments and submit the report to this office accordingly.

It is once again reiterated that presence in the Republic Day function is always treated as official duty and failure to attend the function will be construed as dereliction of the official duty and disobedience of the Government Instructions, reads the order. (JKNS)
