Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board chairperson Dr. Darakshan Andrabi, on monday convened a meeting with Imams and Khateebs from shrines and masjids across all districts of Jammu and Kashmir to discuss the arrangements for the upcoming Mehraj-un-Nabi (SAW).

The meeting also focused on making special prayers for the people of Badhhal Rajouri, especially for the 17 individuals who died due to an unexplained illness.

According to details available with news agency JKNS states that, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi convened a meeting with Imams and Khateebs from shrines and masjids across all districts of Jammu and Kashmir to discuss the arrangements for the upcoming Mehraj-un-Nabi (SAW).

the meeting centered on finalizing preparations for the upcoming religious occasion. Dr. Andrabi staressed the need for smooth proceedings and for ensuring that all religious practices are carried out with devotion and unity. The Chairperson also focussed on the significance of this occasion and the power of collective prayers during such challenging times.

In her address to the religious leaders, Dr. Andrabi urged all Imams to make special prayers for the people of Badhhal Rajouri. She particularly highlighted the tragic loss of 17 lives due to the mysterious illness and asked for divine blessings for the affected families.

Talking to news agency JKNS, Dr. Darakhsan Andrabi said, “I have urged all Imams and Khateebs to remember the victims of Badhhal Rajouri in their prayers, especially the 17 lives lost.”

It is crucial that we stand together as a community, offering our prayers for the families and the overall well-being of the region during this sorrowful period, Andrabi said.” (JKNS)
