1st UT Kudo Championship & Seminar Concludes Successfully in Jammu

Jammu: The 1st UT Kudo Championship and Seminar was successfully conducted at Bhagwati Nagar Indoor Stadium, Jammu, from February 1st to 3rd, 2025. The prestigious event witnessed the participation of 150 students from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir, competing in different categories across cadet, sub-junior, junior, and senior divisions.

The seminar and championship were graced by Renshi Priyank Rana, who served as the Seminar Incharge. He holds the 5th Dan in Nippon Budo Sogo International India (NBSII) and 2nd Dan in Kudo International Federation Japan (KIF). His expert guidance and motivational therapy significantly enhanced the students’ skills and confidence, making the training sessions truly memorable.

The championship featured numerous weight categories, with young athletes displaying remarkable talent and determination. The winners from various categories were:

1. U-13 Boys (Above 48 kg) – Tarunmay Singh (Jammu) – Gold Medal

2. Above 21 Boys (PI 210) – Fysal Amin (Anantnag) – Gold Medal

3. U-10 Girls (Above 36 kg) – Sadiya (Bandipora) – Silver Medal

4. U-13 Girls – Chasheen Rouf (Srinagar) – Gold Medal

5. Above 19-21 Girls (PI 220) – Bisma Nazir (Kupwara) – Bronze Medal

6. Above 16-19 Boys – Junaid Nagar (Budgam) – Gold Medal

7. U-6 Boys – Mir Zaid (Pulwama) – Silver Medal

8. U-13 Girls (Below 33 kg) – Ayat (Baramulla) – Silver Medal

 

The championship was a grand success, providing a platform for budding martial artists to showcase their skills and compete at a high level. The organizing committee extends heartfelt gratitude to Renshi Priyank Rana for his invaluable contribution and training.

This event marks a new chapter for Kudo in Jammu and Kashmir, encouraging young talent to embrace martial arts and self-discipline. The organizing committee looks forward to hosting more such events in the future to nurture and promote combat sports in the region.
