Udhampur: A tragic accident occurred Sunday morning near Darmthal on Srinagar-Jammu Highway, claiming the life of a car driver.
An official told the news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as Ashkoor, son of Raj Ali from Sarmoli village, died on the spot after a truck lost control and collided with his vehicle.
The body was shifted to Government Medical College Hospital, Udhampur, for post-mortem.
Police have arrested the truck driver and registered a case, investigating the cause of the accident.—(JKNS)
