Sumbal Sonawari: The President of Janata Dal United (JDU) J&K, GM Shaheen, addressed a significant public meeting today at Sumbal Sonawari, accompanied by the party’s executive team. He emphasized the importance of gearing up for the upcoming Panchayat elections, urging party workers to be proactive in engaging with the public.

Upon his arrival, GM Shaheen received a warm welcome from party workers, including District President Bandipora and District General Secretary Gulam Mohd Dar.

During his address, Shaheen highlighted critical issues faced by the local population, particularly the shortage of drinking water in the region. He appealed to Hon’ble LG Manoj Sinha to address the grievances of stone quarry workers and provide them with necessary relief. Expressing dissatisfaction with the current administration, he criticized the NC-led government for its failure to resolve public concerns and the slow pace of development on the ground.

Looking ahead to upcoming electoral challenges, GM Shaheen stressed the need for JDU to focus on the current political landscape and urged leaders and workers to prioritize the demands of the people. He called for greater engagement with the community to better understand and address their needs.

In a significant announcement, he revealed that the Agriculture Minister of the Government of India and the Panchayat Minister will visit the Kashmir Valley in March, marking an important political development for the region.

The state executive body of JDU also addressed the public gathering, reaffirming the party’s commitment to working for the welfare of the people.
