Karnah: In a significant step toward fostering national integration and cultural exchange, 25 students from five different states visited Tangdhar and Tithwal under the Border Area Youth Exchange Programme, organized by Nehru Yuva Kalyan Sansthan, Kupwara. The initiative aimed to provide students with firsthand exposure to the region’s rich heritage, military history, and the unwavering spirit of its people.

The students explored the Azmat-e-Hind Memorial, a tribute to India’s military legacy, where they learned about the heroic sacrifices of the Armed Forces in various wars. They also visited the revered Sharda Devi Temple, an enduring symbol of cultural and spiritual heritage. The visit helped them understand the deep-rooted traditions and historical significance of Karnah, a region known for its resilience and unity.

At the Shakti Vijay Brigade Headquarters, the students were introduced to the Indian Army’s initiatives in improving educational infrastructure and empowering the youth of border areas. They witnessed the Army’s dedication to fostering education, skill development, and community welfare in the region.

Overwhelmed with enthusiasm, the students expressed their gratitude for this enriching experience. They emphasized how the visit broadened their understanding of border life and instilled a deep sense of patriotism and admiration for the resilience of the local communities.

The Border Area Youth Exchange Programme has once again proven to be a powerful initiative, strengthening the bonds between the youth and the nation’s frontline regions. It continues to inspire young minds, fostering unity, awareness, and a shared vision of progress.
