Srinagar, Feb 26: The Institute of Computer Accountants (ICA) has taken a major step toward strengthening skill-based education in Kashmir by inaugurating its first branch in Hazuri Bagh, Srinagar. The launch marks a significant milestone in ICA’s mission to equip local youth with industry-relevant skills in computerized accounting, finance, and taxation
The inauguration ceremony was led by Chief Guest MLA Zadibal, Jinab Tanvir Sadiq, who officially inaugrated the new branch. The event was also attended by Guest of Honor, Dr. Touseef Ahmed, and Mr. Mehran Khan, alongside ICA’s Central Director, Mr. Ishtiyaq Ahmed Wani, who emphasized the crucial role of skill development in today’s competitive job market.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Touseef Ahmed highlighted the rising unemployment challenges in Kashmir and the urgent need for practical training programs. “Kashmir’s youth have immense potential, but they need the right skills and opportunities to succeed. ICA is committed to bridging this gap by providing high-quality, job-oriented courses that prepare students for real-world careers,” he stated.
The new ICA branch in Hazuri Bagh is designed to offer modern facilities and a comprehensive curriculum covering essential skills such as Tally, GST, accounts ,finance, income tax, and Basic computer applications. By providing hands-on training and industry-aligned courses, ICA aims to empower students with the knowledge and expertise needed to secure stable employment and contribute to the region’s economic growth.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks to the esteemed guests, reaffirming ICA’s dedication to creating meaningful education and employment opportunities for the youth of Kashmir.
