Srinagar: The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been closed from both sides due to mud slush at Mehad Ramban.

An official told news agency JKNS that Efforts are underway to clear the debris, but the road remains impassable.

People are requested to avoid unnecessary travel and journey during night journey on NH 44, official said.

Men and machinery have been deployed to restore traffic, but continuous rainfall and shooting stones at multiple locations between Nasri and Navyug Tunnel are hampering the process, officials said.

Authorities have advised travelers to avoid unnecessary movement, especially at night, as the situation is being closely monitored. Further updates will be provided once the highway is safe for travel. (JKNS)
