Former DIG Sheikh Hafeez Akhtar Passes Away

Srinagar: Former DIG of Kashmir and Ladakh, Sheikh Hafeez Akhtar, passed away in Srinagar after a prolonged illness.

He was the father of Sheikh Sarmad Hafeez, Commissioner Secretary of Youth Services & Sports, J&K. His demise has left the administrative and police circles mourning.

Officials, colleagues, and civil society members extended their condolences as Kashmir bids farewell to a respected officer.

Many prominent figures from the administration, police, political leaders and civil society have expressed their condolences, while remembering Sheikh Hafeez Akhtar for his service and contributions. (JKNS)
