JKSCST Corporation Holds Awareness Camp on Self-Employment Schemes in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: JK Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Ltd., Srinagar, organized an Awareness Camp at Chattabal, Srinagar, on Tuesday in collaboration with the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation, New Delhi. The event focused on informing the general public, particularly individuals belonging to backward classes, about self-employment schemes undertaken by the corporation. The event drew a large gathering of people.

Speaking on the occasion, Mehmood-ul-Haq Gundroo, Deputy General Manager (Kashmir), provided a brief introduction to various income-generating schemes, with special emphasis on the scheme dedicated to backward classes. He urged people to come forward to avail benefits offered by the corporation. Attention was drawn to the low-interest rates on loans. The Deputy General Manager (Kashmir) reiterated the corporation’s commitment to supporting individuals in creating opportunities for themselves and others. The corporation remains steadfast in its mission to empower individuals and drive progress toward a self-reliant society.

Zulfikar Ali, District Manager, Srinagar, of the corporation, gave a detailed description of the corporation’s schemes for establishing income-generating units. Emphasis was placed on the education loan schemes. Ms. Shreeza, Chairperson of Chinar Valley Youth Trust, attended the event and appreciated the corporation’s efforts, expressing a desire for organizing more such awareness camps.

A few beneficiaries shared their experiences with the gathering. Information brochures and handbills were distributed on the spot. Babar Bashir Wani, A.O.O, presented a vote of thanks to the participants for their cooperation.
