Srinagar:- A soldier died of a cardiac arrest in Pantha chowk area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Tuesday.

Official sources told news agency JKNS that Army Jawan namely Naik Biswas resident of West Bengal presently performing duties at Pandrethan Pantha Chowk suddenly got unconscious due to a heart attack.

He was shifted to hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation in this regard.—(JKNS)
