Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Wednesday informed the Assembly that over 2,000 kanals of land have been allotted to non-local investors in the Union Territory.
In a written reply to a question raised by PDP MLA Waheed-ul-Rehman Para, as per news agency JKNS, the government stated that 2,093 kanals of land have been allotted at SIDCO Industrial Estates from January 1, 2023, to December 12, 2024.
In Srinagar, at Medicity Sempora, 30 kanals have been allotted to M/s Megna Waves Build Tech Pvt Ltd (EMAAR Group-UAE) and 100 kanals to the same company for another project. Additionally, 24 kanals were allotted to the same firm at Exhibition Ground, Jammu, it reads.
The reply detailed that in Kathua, land allotments include 275 kanals to M/s RSWM Limited, 222 kanals to M/s Grew Energy Pvt Ltd (Unit-I), and 424 kanals to M/s Grew Energy Pvt Ltd (Unit-II) at Bhagthali-I.
At Bhagthali-II, 201 kanals each have been allotted to M/s Advance Films Pvt Ltd, M/s Greenquest Alu Foils Pvt Ltd, and M/s Haldiram Snacks Manufacturing Plant, while 209 kanals were allotted to M/s Sintex Advances Plastic Ltd and 206 kanals to M/s Ceylon Beverages Can Pvt Ltd. (JKNS)
