Jammu: Jammu Police have arrested a man after a video surfaced on social media showing him brutally beating his wife with a lathi in Amb Gharota.

An offical told news agency JKNS said that immediate cognizance was taken and FIR No. 32/2025 under sections 109/126(2)/115/191(2)(3)/190/351(2)/352/118 of the BNS was registered at Police Station Amb Gharota on March 9, 2025.

The accused has been identified as Sadaq Hussain, a resident of Pamali Jandyal, who is currently in police custody and on remand, he said.—(JKNS)
