New Delhi: A delegation from the All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) met Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar, Hon’ble Minister of Housing & Urban Development, Government of India, in New Delhi yesterday to discuss key issues concerning the Kashmiri Pandit community.

The delegation, led by Ravinder Pandita, President of AIKS, emphasized the need for a permanent address/asset for AIKS and deliberated on the rehabilitation and return of Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley. The half-hour discussion was described as fruitful, with the minister providing valuable suggestions and requesting a detailed rehabilitation plan from the Kashmiri Pandit community to facilitate government assistance.

During the meeting, the delegation presented a book on Sharda and a portrait of Sharda Peeth (PoK) to the minister as a token of cultural heritage and significance.

The AIKS delegation included Vijay Kashkari (Vice President, AIKS), Dalip Kaul (Advisor), Ajay Pandita, and Kusum Lata.

AIKS remains committed to working towards the welfare and rightful rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits and appreciates the government’s willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue on the issue.
