Srinagar: Chaos erupted inside the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly on Wednesday as the session descended into physical confrontation, turning the House into a virtual wrestling ground, as per details available with news agency JKNS.

The ruckus escalated when Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) MLA alleged that he was attacked by multiple BJP legislators during a heated argument over the ongoing Waqf Bill row. The verbal exchanges quickly turned into shoving and scuffles, forcing marshals to intervene.

The Assembly proceedings were earlier halted amid the brawl, protests over rejection of adjournment motion and protest by the ruling alliance. (JKNS)
