Udhampur:- Firing resumed early Thursday morning in the ongoing encounter in the Ramnagar area of Udhampur district as security forces intensified combing operations to flush out terrorists believed to be hiding in the dense forest area of Joffar.
The encounter as per news agency JKNS had initially broken out on Wednesday, following specific intelligence inputs about the presence of heavily armed Terrioists suspected to be affiliated with the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) outfit.
The group, reportedly comprising two to three terrorists, was trapped in the Joffar area, prompting a swift response from joint teams of the Army, J&K Police, and paramilitary forces.
