Jammu: A Junior Commissioned Officer of the army who was critically injured during the exchange of fire with terrorists in the Keri-Battal sector of Akhnoor in Jammu has succumbed to injuries on Saturday.

Official sources told news agency JKNS that terrorists fired an army party near the forward post in the Keri-Battal sector on Friday late night.

They said that the Army retaliated, resulting in some exchange of fire in which one JCO was critically injured.

They said that injured JCO who was immediately airlifted to a hospital for treatment where he succumbed to injuries on Saturday.—(JKNS)
