Rajouri: Two rusted high-explosive mortar shells were found and later destroyed in a controlled explosion in Chingus-Kaneti village of Rajouri district on Sunday.

Official sources told news agency JKNS that the shells were unearthed by a local farmer while ploughing his field with a tractor. The farmer immediately alerted the authorities.

Soon after receiving the information, a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) reached the spot and destroyed both shells safely through a controlled detonation.
