Srinagar, May 7 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will be chairing an emergency meeting with deputy commissioners of all districts following the flare-up between India and Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border, sources said.
Sources told news agency JKNS that “CM Omar will be chairing an emergency meeting with DCs of all J&K districts shortly.”
The meeting will be conducted through video conference with the deputy commissioners from Jammu division. Some cabinet ministers are also likely to attend the meet, sources said.
The meeting, which will be led by CM Omar, is aimed at assessing the situation in the border areas after India carried out airstrikes inside Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, they added.
Earlier, Lt Governor Manoj Sinha stated that he had taken stock of the situation in border districts and is closely monitoring the developments, ensuring that the government is fully prepared to deal with any eventuality. (JKNS
