Srinagar, May 11: Members of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) on Saturday expressed profound grief over the tragic demise of Dr. Raj Kumar Thapa, Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Rajouri, who passed away in the line of duty.

In a joint condolence message, the JKAS officers described Dr. Thapa as a beacon of dedication, professionalism, and compassion. “Known for his people-friendly approach, he played a pivotal role in addressing critical issues, leaving an indelible mark on the communities he served,” the officers said.

They recalled his over two-decade-long career as a testament to his integrity, resilience, and selfless devotion to public service.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of a mentor, a colleague, and an inspiring figure whose contributions to the administrative service and welfare of the people will never be forgotten,” the statement read.

The officers extended their heartfelt sympathies to Dr. Thapa’s family and expressed solidarity with them during this difficult time. “His sacrifice will remain etched in our hearts, inspiring us to serve with greater resolve and commitment,” they said, praying for peace to the departed soul.
