Amritsar: In a display of keen vigilance, BSF troops apprehended a Pakistani intruder near the International Border in Amritsar last evening.

In a statement issued here to news agency JKNS reads, on noticing suspicious movement, the alert troops acted swiftly to apprehend the individual, who was found carrying Rs. 330 Pakistani currency. He was handed over to local police after initial questioning.

Further, in two separate operations today, acting on intelligence inputs, BSF troops recovered 02 DJI Mavic 3 Classic drones near the Ferozepur border. One was recovered in a farming field near village Palha Megha, while the other was found stuck in the border fence near village Gendu Kilcha.

Both drones are believed to have crashed due to robust electronic countermeasures deployed by BSF.

“These actions reflect the high alertness, swift response, and technical strength of BSF in thwarting cross-border threats and smuggling attempts, reaffirming its commitment to securing the nation’s borders,” BSF said in its official statement. (JKNS)
