Srinagar, Jun 13 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Information Technology Department is set to conduct a two-day capacity building workshop-cum-training programme on Cyber Security at SKICC Srinagar from June 16 to 17, 2025, in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), CERT-In, and NeGD.
According to an official memorandum assessed by news agency JKNS, all Administrative Secretaries have been formally requested to make it convenient to attend the programme, which is aimed at enhancing cyber awareness and strengthening digital infrastructure security across departments.
As per a government order a copy of which lied with news agency JKNS reads that officers and officials listed in Annexures have been officially deputed to participate in the programme. The boarding and lodging of the deputed participants shall be borne by their respective departments.
“This initiative is being taken to improve cyber hygiene and preparedness across the Union Territory, and participation from departmental heads and designated officers is essential,” the official circular reads.
The programme is being conducted with the approval of the Competent Authority and is expected to cover key aspects of cyber threat management, response protocols, and secure digital governance practices. (JKNS)
