Details available with news agency JKNS, the primary objective of the crackdown was to enhance road safety and enforce strict compliance with transport norms. During the operation headed by ARTO Anantnag Mubashir Jan, nearly 65 challans were issued on the spot and Motor Vehicle Department Inspector (MVI) Rashid Ahmad at Al-Stop checked and challaned the vechiles and several offenders penalized for violations related to overloading and improper documentation.

Officials said that in addition to enforcement, the squad also raised public awareness about the dangers of vehicle overloading, especially in school transportation, which can pose serious threats to the safety of passengers.
