Srinagar, June 19: Senior BJP Leader, DDC Member, and Member Haj Committee of India, Er. Aijaz Hussain today formally saw off Union Minister for Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat ji, who concluded his highly impactful two-day visit to the Kashmir Valley. The visit was marked by high-level meetings, interactions with stakeholders in the tourism sector, and assessments of ongoing central tourism projects in the region.

During the farewell at the airport, Er. Aijaz Hussain expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of Kashmir for the Union Minister’s commitment to promoting the region’s unparalleled natural and cultural heritage. He appreciated the Ministry of Tourism’s continuous focus under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji on making Kashmir a year-round global tourist destination.

In his interaction with the Union Minister, Er. Aijaz Hussain made a strong appeal for a national-level campaign encouraging citizens across India to visit Kashmir, highlighting the region’s peaceful atmosphere, improved infrastructure, and the immense hospitality of its people. “A call from the Hon’ble Tourism Minister to the entire nation to visit Kashmir would have a tremendous impact and boost confidence among domestic tourists,” Er. Aijaz stated.

He further said, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi ji, Kashmir has seen a remarkable transformation. From rural tourism to pilgrimage circuits and eco-tourism, every aspect is now being nurtured. It’s time the rest of India comes and experiences the new Kashmir.”

Er. Aijaz also reiterated his commitment to supporting the Union Government’s vision of “Viksit Bharat” by actively contributing to the promotion of sustainable tourism and livelihood generation in the Valley.

The Union Minister appreciated the suggestion and assured that the Ministry will continue to put in every effort to strengthen Kashmir’s tourism sector, which plays a vital role in the socio-economic development of the region.

The visit concluded on a positive and hopeful note, reaffirming Kashmir’s position as a secure, welcoming, and breathtaking destination ready to host tourists from every part of the country and the world.
