SHOPIAN, JUNE 18: The 15-day-long Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyaan under the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan continued on its fourth consecutive day in the Kathohalan tribal village of the Keller block of Shopian district, making significant impact in delivery of on spot services and awareness generation.

Today’s activities saw active participation from the tribal community of the village who visited different stalls set up by the departments to saturate services across the mandated 25 interventions at their doorstep.

The staff deployed at camp highlighted various government welfare schemes tailored for the upliftment of tribal communities, who remained available at the stalls for the public.

Highlights of the camp included informative stalls set up by various government departments, including Agriculture, RDD, FCS&CA, Health, Poshan, Ayush, Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture, Fisheries, and others, showcasing and providing on-the-spot benefits of flagship schemes, especially for tribals.

Some of the main highlights included raising awareness about DAJGUA, Forest Rights Act, Non Timber Forest Produce, promoting awareness of the PMAY-G survey, PMJAY, PDS, Dairy, poultry, sheep, fisheries development schemes as well as the on-the-spot distribution of ration tickets, registration for inclusion of eligible population in PDS, Ayushman Card & Aadhaar generation, distribution of conifer saplings, health screening, among other services.

The emphasis was to provide doorstep delivery of government schemes to tribals for their upliftment, identifying critical development gaps and planning for intervention and resolution.
