Srinagar, June 24: In view of the ongoing summer break for students in both the divisions of the J&K, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) J&K has issued a comprehensive advisory for students, emphasizing their physical and mental well-being.
The advisory encourages students to utilize the holiday period for relaxation while also engaging in productive and health-conscious activities. Key recommendations include:
1. Incorporating sports, aerobics, stretching, dancing, or any fitness activity into daily routines.
2. Maintaining proper hydration by drinking adequate water throughout the day.
3. Consuming a balanced diet rich in nutrients.
4. Eating seasonal fruits and preserving seeds for monsoon sowing.
5. Maintaining a personal diary or notebook to record daily activities.
The Directorate of Youth Services and Sports has urged Physical Education Lecturers, Masters, and Teachers to actively support students in adopting a healthy lifestyle. Joint Directors of both the divisions and District Youth Services and Sports Officers have been directed to oversee the implementation of these guidelines.
“The advisory is issued considering the holistic development of children and youth, ensuring they remain active, creative, and mindful of their well-being even during academic breaks”. said Anuradha Gupta Director General of the Department.
