Baramulla: The Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) held workers’ meeting on Sunday in the Ijhara Boniyar area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, where dozens of political workers from various parties including Sarpunch and ward members formally joined the Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP).

The meeting was presided over by SBSP State President Vivek Bali he was accompanied by District President Baramulla Mudasir Nazir Dar, North Kashmir Incharge Wajahat Raina, Youth District President Zumair Ahmad Malik, and General Secretary Lateef Ahmad Dar were also present on the occasion.

While speaking to media, Vivek Bali stated that the meeting marked a turning point for the area, as morethen 20 workers from different political backgrounds pledged their support to the SBSP. He highlighted the longstanding deprivation faced by the people of the region.

“For the last 70 years, the people of this area have been denied basic amenities such as road connectivity, electricity, clean drinking water, and advanced healthcare facilities. The National Conference (NC) has ruled here for decades but failed to deliver on its promises. The current condition of the area reflects sheer negligence,” Bali said.

He assured the new party members and local residents that the SBSP is committed to raising their genuine issues before the government. “Our approach is to connect with people at the grassroots level, listen to their problems, and work collectively to find solutions,” he added.

Responding to a question about the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood, Bali said, “The decision rests with the Central Government. If they choose to restore statehood, we will welcome it. The SBSP is fully prepared to contest all upcoming elections, including the Urban Local Bodies (ULB) and Panchayat polls, across every district of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Bali also launched a strong attack on the National Conference leadership, claiming that even NC’s own MLAs are frustrated by their party’s inaction. “Their MLAs admit they don’t even have the authority to transfer a single employee. If Chief Minister Omar Abdullah cannot fulfill promises made in his election manifesto, he should resign immediately,” he asserted.

He further accused NC of misleading the public for decades. “People have been betrayed for 70 years. Now, as they try to mislead the public again, the people are more aware and won’t fall for empty promises,” he said.

Reiterating SBSP’s commitment to public service, Bali concluded, “We stand firmly with the people. Their concerns will not only be heard but acted upon promptly. That is our pledge.”
