Qazigund, July 2: A grand and heartfelt farewell was organized today in honor of Mr. Mumtaz Shafiq, Community Health Officer (CHO) of Medical Block Qazigund, who retired after completing 33 years of distinguished service in the healthcare sector.
The farewell ceremony was held at Primary Health Centre, Checkiwangund, where a large gathering of doctors, paramedics, health workers, administrative staff, and well-wishers from across the area came together to celebrate the remarkable career of a devoted public servant. Emotions ran high as colleagues, friends, and juniors bid farewell to Mr. Shafiq — a dedicated officer, mentor, and friend.
Mr. Shafiq was lauded for his unwavering commitment to public health, his leadership during various health emergencies, and his compassionate approach to patient care. Throughout his service, he played a crucial role in enhancing healthcare delivery, particularly in rural and underserved areas of the Qazigund block.
