Srinagar, July 4 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday addressed the 6th Convocation of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), lauding the institution’s academic excellence and highlighting the exceptional achievements of women students in the field of agricultural sciences.

“It was a pleasure to address the 6th Convocation of SKUAST-Kashmir. I congratulate the university for creating a competent and competitive human resource and shaping the farm sector in the Union Territory,” LG Sinha said as oer news agency JKNS.

He noted the remarkable progress SKUAST-K has made in recent years, including its improved national rankings and contribution to modernizing agriculture in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Lieutenant Governor particularly hailed the achievements of women students, saying, “Proud to see our daughters breaking barriers and achieving success in agri-science and technology. Out of 150 students conferred with gold medals, 115 were women. Of the 445 Certificates of Merit, 334 went to girls. This reflects a bright future for Jammu & Kashmir and the nation.”

He extended his best wishes to all graduating students and urged them to contribute actively to the development of the agriculture sector through innovation and commitment. (JKNS)
