Srinagar:On the solemn occasion of 8th Muharram, a Sabeel-e-Imam Hussain (AS) along with a free medical camp was organised at Jahangir Chowk, Srinagar, by Senior BJP Leader and DDC Member Er. Aijaz Hussain. The initiative aimed to serve the mourners with refreshments and essential healthcare support during the sacred days of remembrance.

Er. Aijaz Hussain personally served refreshments to the mourners, symbolising the spirit of compassion, service, and communal harmony. A dedicated medical check-up facility was set up at the venue, where mourners were examined by medical professionals and provided with necessary medicines — completely free of cost.

It is noteworthy that the BJP Lal Chowk Constituency team has been continuously providing refreshments to mourners across different areas for the past five days, reaffirming its commitment to community outreach during Muharram.

The programme witnessed active participation from the entire BJP Lal Chowk Constituency team. Constituency President Umer Shafi, Vice President Mehraj-ud-Din, General Secretaries Nasrullah Mattoo and Mohammad Hussain, Secretaries Mushtaq Ahmad and Adil Ahmad, along with senior party workers, played a vital role in ensuring smooth arrangements and respectful conduct of the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Er. Aijaz Hussain reiterated BJP’s commitment to inclusive community service and its deep respect for all religious beliefs and traditions in Jammu & Kashmir.
