Amarnath Pilgrim Dies After Falling Unconscious in Pahlagam

Anantnag, July 09 (JKNS): A 69-year-old Amarnath Yatra pilgrim from Gwalior Madhya Pradesh, died on Wednesday after falling unconscious in the Panjitarni base camp in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

An official told news agency JKNS that the deceased has been identified as Kalpana, a resident of Gwalior Madhya Pradesh.

He suddenly lost consciousness in the Washroom and was immediately shifted to the Base Hospital Panjitarni for medical attention. Doctors at the facility, however, declared him brought dead, official said.

Cognizance has been taken and Necessary medico-legal formalities have been initiated by authorities. (JKNS)
