New Delhi, July 23 (JKNS): The first phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the 24 June 2025 Bihar Electoral Roll is nearing completion with 98.01% of electors covered, the Election Commission of India said on Wednesday.
in a statement issued by EC, as per news agency JKNS reads, JKNS, till July 23, 20 lakh deceased electors, 28 lakh permanently migrated electors, 7 lakh electors enrolled at multiple locations, and 1 lakh untraceable electors have been reported. Additionally, 15 lakh electors are yet to return their enumeration forms, while 7.17 crore forms (90.89%) have been received and digitised.
In this phase, lists of incorrectly included electors and those who have not returned their enumeration forms were shared on July 20 with 1.5 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) nominated by district presidents of 12 major political parties in Bihar.
The Election Commission said that electors temporarily residing outside the state can fill their forms online at https://electors.eci.gov.in or via the ECINet mobile app, or take a printout and submit it either through family members to their Booth Level Officers (BLOs) or via WhatsApp to the BLOs.
The names of those who submit the enumeration form will be included in the Draft Electoral Roll, which will be published on August 1, 2025. Electors can also confirm submission of their forms at the official portal.
If errors are found in the Draft Electoral Roll, any elector or political party can file objections or claims with the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) or Assistant ERO by September 1, 2025, the Commission said. (JKNS)
