Jammu, July 24 (JKNS): A suspected drug peddler was killed in cross-firing after a police team came under fire while chasing suspected peddlers in the Mandal area under Police Station Satwari in Jammu on Thursday.
Officials told JKNS that during the chase, the police party was fired upon by unidentified persons. In the cross-firing, one unknown person sustained injuries and was shifted to GMC Jammu, where he succumbed.
They said senior police officers have reached the spot, and a detailed investigation into the incident is underway. (JKNS)
