Agniveer Killed, Two Injured in Landmine Blast Near LoC in Poonch

Poonch, July 25 (JKNS): An Army personnel was killed and two others, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were injured in a landmine blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district on Friday.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the incident took place around 12:15 pm near Victor Post of the Indian Army at village Salotri in Haveli tehsil when an M16 anti-personnel mine exploded during patrolling.

The deceased has been identified as Agniveer Lalit Kumar of the 07 JAT Regiment. The injured have been identified as Nb Sub Hari Ram and Hav Gajendra Singh.

Both injured personnel were immediately evacuated and airlifted to Army Base Hospital Udhampur for advanced treatment. (JKNS)
